Chandrasekaran to Step Down as Tata Stocks More Than Doubled
From Trent to Titan: Over 15 Tata Group stocks more than doubled investors' wealth during Chandrasekaran's tenure · livemint.com

Tata Group is a very big group of companies, and people can buy parts of them called stocks.

A man named N Chandrasekaran, called Chandra, has been the group's chairman for nine years.

After working at Tata for 40 years, he decided he will not continue as chairman when his term ends in February 2027.

He wanted to stay for five more years, but not everyone on the board agreed, so after many months he decided to leave.

While he was chairman, many Tata companies did extremely well financially.

Nineteen Tata company stocks doubled in value for investors, and some grew by more than 1,000 percent.

The best performer was a company called Trent, whose stock rose by about 1,700 percent.

Another company, Titan, also grew by more than 1,000 percent.

Because the companies did so well, many people who invested in Tata companies became much richer.
