Amit Shah presents President's Colour to Puducherry Police
The President's Colour is the highest honour a police force can receive in India.
It is a special flag given to say thank you for doing a great job.
On Sunday, the Puducherry Police received this special flag.
India's Home Minister, Amit Shah, presented the flag at a ceremony.
He praised the police officers for keeping people safe and serving during COVID-19.
The President of India, Droupadi Murmu, had decided to give this honour back in May.
Mr. Shah also talked about money the government gives to Puducherry.
He said the government gave 13,762 crore rupees between 2014 and 2026.
About 5,000 police officers serve in Puducherry.
This was a very proud day for them.

Central fund allocation to Puducherry rose from about Rs 3,500 crore (1950-2014) to Rs 13,762 crore (2014-26).
Shah cited investments of Rs 39,000 crore in Puducherry over the last nine years.
President Droupadi Murmu had announced the honour on May 8 for the force's exceptional service and discipline.
Shah praised the roughly 5,000-strong force for maintaining law and order across Puducherry's geographically scattered territories.
