UP Excise Department Reports Record ₹20,862 Crore Revenue, Liquor Crackdown

In Uttar Pradesh, a big state in India, there is a department that takes care of alcohol and makes sure people follow the rules.

In the first four months of the new financial year, it collected a huge amount of money — more than twenty thousand crore rupees.

That is a new record for the department!

The money it collected was more than the same time last year, which means the department is doing better than before.

The department is also working hard to stop people from making and selling bad or illegal alcohol.

Many police-style cases were registered against people who broke the rules, and some were arrested or sent to jail.

Cars used to smuggle illegal alcohol were also taken away.

The leaders said this is because of good and honest policies and better watching over things.

The government also wants to keep people safe from the bad effects of addiction.

The Excise Department has a big money goal to reach this year, and it is working very hard to achieve it.
