Gujarat: 7,164 liquor bottles worth Rs 26.81 lakh seized
Police in Gujarat, a state in India, found a truck full of alcohol bottles.
The truck was stopped at a toll plaza where police check vehicles.
Inside, they found 7,164 bottles of a type of alcohol called Indian-made foreign liquor.
The bottles were worth about 26.81 lakh rupees, which is a lot of money.
With the truck and other items added, everything together was worth about 41.94 lakh rupees.
Alcohol is not allowed to be carried or sold in Gujarat, so moving it there is against the law.
Police arrested the man driving the truck, who is 50 years old and lives in Uttar Pradesh.
They are also looking for the person they think supplied the alcohol and another person who ordered it.
Many similar alcohol seizures have happened recently because police are working hard to stop illegal alcohol smuggling.
