Gold Braid Worth Rs 11 Lakh Offered to Kanaka Durga
A family gave Goddess Kanaka Durga a special gold braid.
The braid weighs about 119.5 grams and is worth around Rs 11 lakh.
It was made with designs of Goddess Lakshmi and other divine figures.
Green stones and pearls decorate the lower part.
The family handed it to temple officials and priests during a ceremony.
Music and temple honours accompanied the offering.
Borra Radhakrishna said he had thought about making this offering for about 20 years.
He also said a friend plans to give the goddess a diamond-studded crown worth Rs 75 lakh.
Borra Radhakrishna and his family offered a traditional gold braid to Goddess Kanaka Durga in Vijayawada.
The ornament weighs 119.5 grams and is valued at approximately Rs 11 lakh.
The offering was handed to temple Executive Officer V.K. Srinivas Naik and priests on Sunday.
The braid features Goddess Lakshmi, divine motifs, green precious stones and pearls.
Radhakrishna said his family and friends supported the offering, while a friend plans to donate a Rs 75 lakh diamond-studded crown.
