BJP to hold massive Tiranga Yatra at Tank Bund today
The BJP, a big political party in India, is organising a special march called a Tiranga Yatra.
'Tiranga' means the Indian flag, which has three colours.
During the march, people will carry the flag together.
The march will happen on August 14 in Hyderabad.
It will start near a statue of Dr. Ambedkar and end near a statue of Swami Vivekananda.
A leader named Mekala Shilpa Reddy asked people across the state to join.
She said hoisting the flag shows love for the country.
The nation is preparing to celebrate its 80th Independence Day.
The march is part of a campaign called Har Ghar Tiranga started by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The campaign asks every family to put up the Indian flag at home from August 10 to 15.
BJP Telangana will hold a large-scale Tiranga Yatra at Tank Bund in Hyderabad on August 14, on the eve of the 80th Independence Day.
Tiranga Yatra State Executive Convener Mekala Shilpa Reddy urged citizens and party workers across Telangana to join the march.
The rally is part of the Har Ghar Tiranga movement (August 10-15) launched on the call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The march will proceed from the BR Ambedkar statue at Telugu Thalli flyover to the Swami Vivekananda statue, with prayers at Kanakadurga temple beforehand.
Union Ministers G Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay Kumar, Rajya Sabha member K Laxman, MPs, MLAs, veterans, athletes, Padma awardees, and film personalities are expected to participate.
