Indore Crime Branch Arrests Fugitive in ₹70-Crore MD Case
Police in Indore arrested Akran Khan after looking for him for five years.
He is accused in a case involving a large amount of MD, also called mephedrone.
The case began in January 2021 during an alleged drug deal.
Police say they seized 70 kilograms of the drug and ₹13.03 lakh in cash.
The drugs were estimated to be worth about ₹70 crore.
Investigators are asking Khan about where the drugs came from and who else may be involved.
Police also said Khan has another criminal case in Maharashtra.

Police had seized 70 kg of mephedrone valued at about ₹70 crore and ₹13.03 lakh in cash.
The original arrests took place during an alleged illegal drug deal on Sanawadiya Road on January 6, 2021.
Police are questioning Khan about the alleged network, suppliers, drug sources and financial transactions.
In 2026, Indore Crime Branch reported 62 NDPS cases, 129 arrests and seizures worth about ₹3.57 crore.
