DRI Seizes 572 Kilograms Across Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh

The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence, or DRI, carried out drug investigations across the country.

It seized 690 kilograms of illegal drugs in about two-and-a-half months.

More than 572 kilograms came from Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.

The agency arrested 25 people, including 16 from those two states.

Some of the arrested people were foreign nationals.

The drugs included methamphetamine, amphetamine, cocaine, poppy straw and cannabis.

The DRI said the seized drugs could have been worth Rs 43.5 crore in the illegal market.

The seizures happened in places including Bhopal, Indore, Ratlam, Raipur, Jaora and Seoni.
