Two Arrested After Pune Police Seize MD Drugs in Nhavare
Police carried out an operation in Nhavare after receiving information about suspected drug sales.
They watched the area and then set a trap near Shelke Vasti.
Officers seized about 56 grams of suspected MD, also called mephedrone.
The drugs and other items were estimated to be worth ₹11.90 lakh.
Two men were arrested during the operation.
Another suspect reportedly escaped and is being searched for.
Police are questioning the arrested men to learn where the drugs came from.
They are also checking whether more places may be connected to the suspected drug network.

The drugs and other seized items were valued at approximately ₹11.90 lakh.
Pradeep Vitthal Korekar, 24, and Sainath Janardan Bhosekar, 23, were arrested.
Police identified Dnyanesh alias Mauli Kaluram Korekar as an absconding suspect.
Investigators are probing the drugs’ source and possible links to Karegaon, Shrigonda, Yavat and Kedgaon.
