Delhi Master Plan 2047 tabled for approval at DDA meeting

The city of Delhi wants to plan how it will grow over the next 20 years.

A big document called the Master Plan for Delhi 2047 has been written for this.

On Wednesday, a group called the Delhi Development Authority will look at the plan.

Their job is to decide whether to approve it.

If they say yes, India's central government will officially announce it a few days later.

The plan is meant to guide how land in Delhi is used.

There are some tricky parts, like how to share land fairly and where green areas should go.

It also talks about protecting the Yamuna river's floodplain, a special area that can flood and needs care.

At first, the plan was supposed to run until 2041, but leaders are now thinking about 2047 instead.

Everyone is waiting to see what the DDA decides.
