Hapur Inspection Finds Widespread Industrial Pollution Violations
Officials inspected factories in Hapur to check whether they were following pollution rules.
They examined 22 industrial units during the inspection drive.
Sixteen units were found to have problems.

CAQM squads found 16 of 22 inspected Hapur industrial units violating environmental norms.
Two non-conforming units were sealed by the Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board.
Violations included visible smoke, faulty pollution-control devices, leakages and bypassed wet scrubbers.
Some units lacked functioning online emission monitors, stack reports or ERP-III-compliant stacks.
Twelve show-cause notices were issued, while two units that denied entry face proposed strict action and re-inspection.
