Uttar Pradesh Sugar Mills Clear Most 2025-26 Farmer Dues

Uttar Pradesh sugarcane farmers are receiving payments from sugar mills for the 2025-26 crushing season.

The government says 102 mills have paid all the money they owed.

Overall, more than 94.86% of the sugarcane price has been paid.

Twenty-three cooperative mills paid farmers Rs 2,820.89 crore.

Three mills run by the State Sugar Corporation paid Rs 543.51 crore.

The government says it has transferred Rs 3.25 lakh crore to farmers over time.

It also says Uttar Pradesh leads India in sugarcane, molasses and ethanol production.

Over the last nine years, the state’s mills crushed 9,220 lakh tonnes of sugarcane and produced 879.06 lakh tonnes of sugar.
