CAQM Finds All 28 Loni Units Violating Environmental Norms

The Commission for Air Quality Management inspected 28 industrial premises in Loni, Ghaziabad, on August 25.
All 28 inspected premises were found non-compliant with applicable environmental norms.
Twenty-one units lacked valid Consent to Operate, while 14 used unapproved fuels such as wood or coal.
Eight cases involved inadequate pollution-control devices, stacks, chimneys or furnace infrastructure.
The Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board sealed 16 premises and issued six preliminary reports or show-cause notices.
