CAQM Intensifies NCR Pollution Inspections Ahead Of Winter
Anti-Pollution Crackdown Intensifies Across NCR, 150 Inspections In 15 Days · NDTV

The Commission for Air Quality Management is checking places that can make the air dirty.

It inspected 150 sites in the National Capital Region over 15 days.

Inspectors looked at factories, construction sites, power facilities, and diesel generators.

Some businesses did not follow pollution-control rules.

The Commission proposed closing four sites and sealing 25 diesel generators.

Teams also inspected facilities in Nuh, Haryana, and Hapur, Uttar Pradesh.

In Nuh, some facilities were locked when inspectors arrived and will be checked again.

In Hapur, many factories had problems such as heavy smoke or broken monitoring equipment.

Officials say they will continue inspections as winter approaches because air quality may get worse.
