Gujarat Police Arrest 42 in Chorwad Gambling Raid
Police in Gujarat raided a place where people were allegedly playing cards for money.
The raid happened near Chorwad Girls School in Chorwad.
Forty-two people were arrested.
Police also found cash, vehicles, mobile phones and other gambling materials.
The seized items were worth about Rs 16 lakh.
Two other people were named as wanted suspects.
Police said Manish Parmar and Haresh Chudasama were alleged organisers.
The investigation is continuing.
The State Monitoring Cell arrested 42 people during a raid on an alleged card gambling operation in Chorwad, Junagadh district.
Police seized Rs 3,72,200 in cash, one four-wheeler, 11 two-wheelers, 42 mobile phones and gambling-related materials.
The seized property was valued at Rs 16,02,900, according to police.
A total of 44 people were named in the case, including 42 arrested accused and two wanted accused.
The case was registered at Chorwad Police Station under Sections 4 and 5 of the Gambling Act.
