Gujarat Police Seize Rs 84 Lakh Liquor, Book Seven Suspects
Police in Vadodara found a large supply of liquor in a flat parking area.
The liquor and beer were worth about Rs 84 lakh.
Officers said there were around 16,394 bottles in 470 boxes.
They also took three cars, a two-wheeler and other items.
Altogether, the seized property was valued at more than Rs 1 crore.
Seven people were named as wanted accused in the case.
Police said one person ran away while unloading the liquor.
They are also trying to find who supplied the shipment and who was supposed to receive it.
The State Monitoring Cell seized IMFL and beer worth Rs 84.01 lakh in Vadodara on Sunday.
The raid took place in the parking area of Neelkanth Villa flats in Khodiyarnagar.
Police recovered about 470 boxes containing 16,394 bottles of liquor and beer.
Three cars, one two-wheeler and other items raised the total seized property value to Rs 1.002 crore.
A case was registered against seven wanted accused under provisions of Gujarat’s Prohibition Act.
