Latur Gambling Racket Busted: 27 Detained, ₹17.84 Lakh Seized
The police in a place called Latur, in Maharashtra, India, caught 27 people who were playing illegal gambling games.
Gambling is when people bet money on games of chance, and it is against the law in many places.
The police went to three different spots and raided them.
At the first spot, they found a matka betting game and took six people into custody.
At the second spot, they caught nine people.
At the third spot, a farm, they caught 12 people.
They also took things the gamblers used, like money, phones, cars, and motorcycles.
All together, the things they seized were worth about Rs 17.84 lakh, which is a lot of money.
The police also started a special phone line called the 'Khabar' helpline so people can tell them about illegal gambling.
Now the 27 people will have to answer for what they did.
