Two people linked to the Maoist movement surrendered to police in Palnadu.

Their names are Kandarpa Durga Prasad and Goddalla Lachchamma.

They surrendered on Monday in Narasaraopet.

The surrender happened at the office of the Additional Superintendent of Police.

Police said both had reportedly worked as “urban den keepers.”

One person is from Visakhapatnam, and the other is from Palnadu district.

The surrender comes while security forces are conducting operations against Maoist activity.

The government has set March 31 as the final deadline for Operation Kagar.
