PM Modi Hails Operation Kagar, Vows Complete Elimination of Naxalism
The leader of India, Prime Minister Modi, is very happy about a special mission called Operation Kagar that is working to stop a group called Naxals.
These Naxals are sometimes called terrorists.
The Prime Minister said that a long time ago, they were a problem in many, many places across the country.
But now, they are only a problem in a few places, and the government is working hard to make sure they disappear completely.
He promised that the government won't stop trying until all parts of India are safe from them.
Another important person in the government, the Home Minister, also said that a lot of Naxals, over 10,000, have already given up and stopped being Naxals.
This shows the government is making good progress.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised Operation Kagar for its efforts against Naxalism and Maoist terrorism.
Modi stated that the number of districts significantly affected by Maoist terrorism has reduced from nearly 125 before 2014 to just 11 currently.
He emphasized that only three districts remain severely impacted by Naxalism.
The Prime Minister vowed that the government will continue its efforts until Naxalism is completely eliminated from India.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah reported that 10,500 Naxals have surrendered to the Indian government.
