Parliament's Makar Dwar may get porch three years after opening

Parliament's Makar Dwar may get porch three years after opening
3 years on, why MPs’ entrance at Parliament may get a porch · indianexpress.com

In India, there is a special building called Parliament where leaders make laws for the country.

The building was finished and opened three years ago.

Most of the leaders who work there enter through a big door called Makar Dwar.

Right now, that door has no roof or cover over it.

A porch is like a roof over a door that protects people from sun and rain.

Some other doors at the building already have porches.

Very important leaders like the Prime Minister use those covered doors.

The leader in charge of the Lok Sabha, Om Birla, asked the building department to build a porch over Makar Dwar.

The building department is now checking if it can be done.

If yes, leaders will be protected from the weather when they enter.
