Pawar's NCP MPs meet PM Modi amid NDA switch buzz
NCP-SP MPs Meet PM Modi Amid Merger Speculation, Raise Constituency Issues · freepressjournal.in

A group of leaders from a political party in India went to see the Prime Minister.

Their party is called the NCP, and it is led by a famous senior leader named Sharad Pawar.

Some people thought they were going to join a different group of parties, but the leaders said that was not true.

They said they only came to talk about problems in their region, called Maharashtra.

The leaders asked for a big national award for important teachers and social helpers from long ago.

They also asked for water for farmers in a dry area, more help for hospital treatment, and a new airport to be named after a respected leader.

The Prime Minister listened and said he would look into their requests.

Some people still wonder if the party will change its mind about a new law that changes how many seats there are in Parliament.

But a leader from the party said they will vote against that law.

So, mostly the meeting was about helping people in their area, not about changing teams.
