Young Champions Shine at Maharashtra State Squash Open
Young squash players competed in the 49th Maharashtra State Open.
The tournament was held at the Bombay Gymkhana courts in Mumbai.
Anshika Kumari won the Girls' U-11 final against Avni Nandal.
She won the first two games comfortably before Avni challenged her in the third.
Shresht Iyer won the Boys' U-17 title after Jagesh Chhabra was unable to continue because of an injury.
Vedant Shinde won a five-game Boys' U-11 final.
Other winners included Riyaa Dalal, Zeyn Ali, Divyanshi Jain, Amarya Bajaj and Goushika M. The results covered age groups from under 11 to under 17.

Vedant Shinde beat Viraj Shinde in five games to win the Boys' U-11 final.
Zeyn Ali, Divyanshi Jain and Amarya Bajaj also won closely contested U-13 and U-15 finals.
Riyaa Dalal and Goushika M. completed the Girls' U-13 and U-17 title wins respectively.
