CNG is a fuel used by many cars and buses.

Its price in Delhi increased by ₹3.89 per kilogram on August 29.

The gas company said worldwide LNG prices rose because of problems near the Strait of Hormuz.

Delhi’s CNG price is now ₹86.98 per kilogram.

Prices are different in different cities because local taxes vary.

LPG cylinders and PNG also have different prices across Indian cities.

The government wants more homes to use piped gas instead of LPG cylinders.

India is also seeking more gas supplies from the United States because of disruptions in West Asia.
