Chandigarh Police busts gang module linked to gangster Deepak Nandal
Police officers in Chandigarh caught four people who were part of a secret plan to do something bad.
The plan was to scare people and demand money in a city called Gurugram.
The police found two guns and bullets when they stopped the young men.
The young men were working for a gangster who lives in another country.
His name is Deepak Nandal.
A man named Nishan Singh got the guns from across the border in Pakistan.
The weapons were brought by small flying machines called drones and dropped on his farm.
The police stopped the group before anything bad could happen.
Now all four people are under arrest.
Chandigarh Police's Operation Cell busted a cross-border arms smuggling module linked to foreign-based gangster Deepak Nandal, arresting four people.
Three operatives — Ajay (19), Rohit (18) and Dev (18) — were allegedly planning a firing and extortion bid in Gurugram and had conducted a recce of the intended target.
Police recovered two foreign-made pistols (a Zigana pistol and a China-made PX3 pistol), one magazine and 11 live cartridges from the suspects on August 3.
Nishan Singh (32), identified as the main weapon supplier, allegedly received consignments via drones on his agricultural land from a Pakistan-based smuggler.
Police said the youths were groomed by Nandal after being lured with promises of money, and that Arun, a Sonipat resident working in the UAE, linked them to the gang.
