Delhi Police Arrest Four in Alleged Arsh Dalla Narco-Terror Network
Delhi Police say they uncovered a group sending opium from India to Canada.
Officers stopped a parcel in New Delhi that hid the drugs under ordinary food and household items.
Police later found more opium in two other parcels and in one suspect’s possession.
Four alleged members of the group were arrested.
The suspects were from Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan.
Police allege the group was connected to Arshdeep Singh Gill, also known as Arsh Dalla.
They say drug sales abroad helped generate money for criminal and terror-related activities.
Police further allege that weapons were sent into Punjab using drones, while the investigation into foreign-based suspects continues.
Delhi Police intercepted a Canada-bound parcel in Moti Nagar, New Delhi, containing 2.998 kg of opium hidden beneath food and household items.
Investigators said they recovered 5.138 kg of opium from three export consignments and one accused’s possession.
Four alleged syndicate members from Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan were arrested during the investigation.
Police alleged the network was linked to designated Khalistani terrorist Arshdeep Singh Gill, alias Arsh Dalla, and foreign-based handlers.
Investigators described an alleged drugs-for-weapons and terror-financing pipeline involving overseas opium sales and drone-delivered weapons to Punjab.
