FDA Suspends Navi Mumbai Punjab Grill Licence Over Cockroach Infestation
Navi Mumbai: FDA Suspends Punjab Grill FSSAI Licence After Inspection Allegedly Finds Cockroaches And Stagnant Water In Seawoods · freepressjournal.in

The FDA is a government group in India that checks that restaurants are clean and safe.

A team visited a Punjab Grill restaurant in Seawoods, Navi Mumbai, after someone complained about it.

They found cockroaches, dirty areas and standing water.

Because of this, the FDA took away the restaurant's food licence.

That means the restaurant cannot serve food until it fixes the problems and sends a compliance report.

Only this one restaurant was affected, not the whole Punjab Grill chain.

The FDA is also checking many other food places across Maharashtra.

It closed two dining halls at IIT Bombay because they had no licence.

It also caught businesses in Beed that were putting low-quality cooking oil into fancy packaging to trick buyers.

The FDA sealed those units, took the oil away, and is doing all of this to keep people safe and healthy.
