Mumbai’s Food and Drug Administration took action against four establishments after food-safety inspections.
Licences were immediately suspended for Eat Club Brands in Goregaon and Rani Creators in Kurla.
The FDA proposed suspending the licences of Goodluck Bakery in Chembur and Ashfaq Bakery.
Inspectors reported issues including pest infestations, poor hygiene, unsafe storage, temperature-control failures and inadequate records.
The action was taken under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006, because of the seriousness of the violations.
