Delhi Government Sets Strict Timelines for Key Highway Projects
Govt sets timelines for key highway projects · thehansindia.com

The Delhi government told the agencies that build roads to finish their highway projects on time.

A minister named Parvesh Sahib Singh held a big meeting and gave every department clear deadlines.

Many groups came to the meeting, including the police, the water board, the metro and power companies.

The meeting talked about stopping roads from flooding and reducing traffic jams in Delhi.

Some roads and underpasses, like those on NH-24, get waterlogged when it rains heavily.

Workers have already cleaned the drains along NH-24.

Now the National Highways Authority has been asked to raise the road level so water does not collect on it.

The government also wants to stop illegal parking and encroachments on roads like the Dwarka Expressway.

Every department has to finish its tasks by the fixed deadline.

They must also send a report about their progress before the next review meeting.
