Naidu to Grant Ownership Pattas to 24,057 Vijayawada Families
The Andhra Pradesh government plans to give legal property papers to 24,057 families in Vijayawada.
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will distribute the papers on September 30.
The papers are called regularisation pattas.
They will give families full ownership of homes built on land covered by old house-site pattas.
Many of these homes are in hill areas of Vijayawada.
Families have waited for this ownership security for many years.
The land covers 617 acres and is estimated to have a market value of about ₹24,297 crore.
The programme is called Pedalaku Pattabhishekam.
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will distribute regularisation pattas to 24,057 Vijayawada families on September 30.
The pattas will provide full ownership rights for homes built on land covered by decades-old NTR-era house-site pattas.
The programme will regularise 617 acres, or 29.86 lakh square yards, across eight constituencies and 15 mandals.
Vijayawada East has the most beneficiaries with 7,990, followed by West with 7,465 and Central with 5,815.
Beneficiaries include 12,093 BC families, 6,130 OC families, 4,546 SC families, 955 Muslim BC families and 333 ST families.
