Philanthropist Donates Rs 20 Lakh Vehicle to Red Cross
A philanthropist named Shankar Narayana Planjari gave a vehicle to the Red Cross Society in Anantapur.
The vehicle is worth Rs 20 lakhs.
It will help take Thalassemia patients to places they need to go.
It will also be used during blood donation drives.
The vehicle was dedicated during celebrations for Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s centenary.
Planjari also promised Rs 40 lakhs to buy a special microscope.
The microscope will help the Red Cross Eye Bank test corneas more carefully.
Red Cross officials said the donations will improve care for patients and eye bank services.
