SJVN Commissions 75 MW Jamui Solar Power Project in Bihar
A company in India called SJVN has finished building a big solar power plant in Jamui, a district in the state of Bihar.
Solar power plants make electricity from sunlight.
This plant can produce 75 megawatts of electricity, which is enough to power many homes.
It is expected to make about 90 million units of electricity in its first year.
Over 25 years, it will make more than 3,500 million units in total.

The project is expected to generate approximately 90 million units of electricity in its first year and around 3,522 million units cumulatively over 25 years.
Developed on roughly 300 acres near Village Hadhadiya, Kakanchaur, the project cost an estimated ₹342 crore with a fixed tariff of ₹2.96 per unit.
The project is estimated to reduce approximately 82,250.74 tonnes of carbon emissions and supports the Government of India's target of 500 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030.
The plant has created about 15-20 direct and 50-100 indirect employment opportunities, and its electricity will be supplied to the State of Bihar.
