APSRTC Plans Vijayawada Electric Bus Services By November-End
The Andhra Pradesh bus corporation wants to start electric buses in Vijayawada.
The buses are planned to begin running by the end of November.
To prepare, workers are changing the Vidyadharapuram bus depot.
They are completing both building work and electrical work.
These works are expected to finish by the end of October.
M Siva Prasad visited the depot to check the progress.
He said the work was moving at a satisfactory pace.
He told officials to finish everything on time.
The depot must have all the facilities needed to run the electric buses smoothly.
APSRTC plans to launch electric bus services in Vijayawada by the end of November.
The Vidyadharapuram RTC Depot is being upgraded into an electric bus depot.
Civil and electrical works at the depot are scheduled for completion by the end of October.
APSRTC Joint Managing Director M Siva Prasad inspected the depot works on Tuesday.
Officials were directed to finish remaining work on time and provide necessary operating facilities.
