The city has already received a little over 7 millimetres of rain since Thursday night.

The sky will stay cloudy with light to moderate rain over the next day or so.

The weather department has issued a yellow alert for the weekend.

A yellow alert means people should be careful, because there could be heavy showers and big puddles of water.

So residents should take care while walking or driving, especially during heavy rain.
