Anantapur collector directs expedited electoral roll revision hearings
There is a special process in Anantapur to update the list of people who can vote.
A person named Mr. O. Anand, who is the District Collector, told officials to finish this quickly.
The process is called the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls.
He visited a place called the 49th Secretariat in Nayak Nagar to check how the hearings were going.
He also gave instructions to helpers called AEROs and BLOs.
These helpers have to make sure everything is done fairly and openly.
The Collector wants to avoid too many people showing up at once.
So, voters must come only at the time they were assigned.
Two other officials, Jaswanth Rao and Omkar Reddy, came with him to look around.
The goal is to make sure everyone who should vote is correctly on the list.
District Collector and DEO O. Anand directed officials to expedite Special Intensive Revision (SIR) electoral roll hearings and meet all deadlines.
He inspected hearings at the 49th Secretariat in Nayak Nagar covering Polling Stations 179, 180, and 181.
AEROs and BLOs were instructed to ensure complete transparency in the hearing process.
To prevent overcrowding in high-density urban areas, voters must attend hearings strictly within their assigned daily time slots.
Municipal Corporation Commissioner Jaswanth Rao and TPO Omkar Reddy accompanied the DEO during the inspection.
