934 People Linked to Nepal Hydropower Projects Remain Missing
Floods affected parts of Nepal on August 26.
After the floods, 934 people connected to hydropower projects could not be contacted.
These projects are in the districts of Rasuwa and Nuwakot.
Six projects in Rasuwa are linked to 730 of the people.
Five projects in Nuwakot are linked to the other 204 people.
The information was provided by the Independent Power Producers’ Association, Nepal.
The flooding happened in the Bhote Koshi River.
Officials and others are concerned because the people’s whereabouts are still unknown.
