Pune-Kolhapur special train becomes daily express; three Solapur routes regularised
A special train between two Indian cities, Pune and Kolhapur, is becoming a regular everyday train.
Special trains are extra trains that run only sometimes, but this one will now run every single day.
It will leave Pune at night at 9:40 pm and reach Kolhapur early in the morning at 5:08 am.
The train coming back will leave Kolhapur at 9:50 pm and reach Pune at 5:10 am.
It has 18 coaches, which gives lots of people a place to sit or sleep.
There are special comfortable coaches and also cheaper general coaches.
Some other special trains in the same area are also becoming regular trains.
These new regular trains will connect Solapur, Daund and Kalaburagi.
Because they run on a set schedule, passengers can plan their trips better.
This change should make travelling in this region easier for many people.
Central Railway will replace the Pune-Kolhapur special train with regular Train Nos. 11419/11420, operating daily as an Express service from October 20.
Train No. 11419 departs Pune at 9:40 pm and reaches Kolhapur at 5:08 am; Train No. 11420 departs Kolhapur at 9:50 pm and arrives in Pune at 5:10 am.
The 18-coach train includes one AC 2-Tier, four AC 3-Tier, seven Sleeper Class, four General Second Class coaches, one Second Seating-cum-Guard's Brake Van and one Generator Car.
