A brand-new airport called ASR International Airport is opening in Bhogapuram, India.

It will start welcoming flights and passengers on August 17.

The airport was built by the GMR Group together with the government.

It has a very long runway and can serve about six million travelers every year.

That number can grow to more than 40 million people in the future.

The old airport in Visakhapatnam will no longer serve flights, since all services are moving to the new one.

Nearly two dozen flights a day will fly to big cities like Hyderabad, Delhi and Bengaluru.

People will also be able to fly to Singapore with Scoot and to Abu Dhabi with IndiGo.

The new airport is expected to bring more tourists and businesses to the area.
