AI-enabled GeM platform to make public procurement more efficient, cost-effective
GeM is like a giant online shop used by the Indian government to buy the things it needs.
The shop just turned ten years old, and leaders held a big celebration in New Delhi.

GeM has facilitated cumulative procurement of over Rs 20 lakh crore through more than 3.78 crore orders.
The platform now has a community of more than 25 lakh sellers, over 1.37 lakh buyer organisations and 12.28 lakh Micro and Small Enterprises.
GeM launched a nationwide five-digit short code '14550' for its help desk, along with a customised My Stamp and GeM booklet.
