GeM Event Promotes Digital Procurement in Jharkhand

The Government e-Marketplace (GeM) held a special event in Ranchi, Jharkhand, to help government buyers and local sellers use their online platform better.

The event showed how to use new features and improvements on the GeM platform to make buying and selling easier and more fair.

GeM's boss, Mihir Kumar, said the platform helps the government buy things at good prices and gives equal chances to all sellers.

Jharkhand has been using GeM a lot and has bought things worth almost Rs 7,900 crore through the platform.

Sellers from Jharkhand have also done a lot of business, selling things worth Rs 46,407 crore.

The event honored top performers and had sessions to teach buyers and sellers about new ways to use the platform.
