Delhi Police find 13 foreigners with immigration issues in Burari
Delhi Police checked places in North Delhi where foreign nationals were believed to be living.
The checks happened on September 7 and September 16.
Officers found 13 people who had immigration problems or needed further verification.
Some had visas that the police said were expired.
Two people could not show valid passports or visa documents.
Six people were taken to restriction centres after being presented to immigration officials.
Three others were not included in the immigration action because their criminal cases were still before courts.
One more person was released from this action because officers found that his visa was valid.
Delhi Police identified 13 foreign nationals during two verification operations in Burari, North Delhi.
Three Nigerians found on September 7 included one with an expired visa and two without valid documents.
A September 16 operation found 10 nationals from Ghana, Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Uganda and Cameroon.
Four of the 10 were identified as overstaying, while two lacked valid passport or visa documents.
Six were sent to restriction centres; four others were relieved because of pending court cases or valid visas.
