India Drawn Into Group K For FIFA U15 World Cup
India’s under-15 boys’ football team has been placed in Group K for a new FIFA tournament.
They will play teams from Bahrain, Cameroon, Grenada, Laos and Senegal.
The tournament will happen in Baku, Azerbaijan, in October.
India will play five qualification matches over three days.
Their first match is against Laos on October 24.
They will then play Cameroon and Grenada on October 25, followed by Bahrain and Senegal on October 26.
Games will have eight players on each team and two 20-minute halves.
India is currently training in Bengaluru and will choose 14 players for the tournament.
India will play Bahrain, Cameroon, Grenada, Laos and Senegal in Group K.
The inaugural FIFA U15 World Cup will be held in Baku in October.
India’s qualification matches are scheduled for October 24–26 at the Hovsan Competition Complex.
The tournament uses an 8v8 format with two 20-minute halves and rolling substitutions.
India are training in Bengaluru and will play home friendlies before naming a 14-player squad.
