Vande Bharat Extension Links Bengaluru, Coastal Karnataka And Goa
A Vande Bharat train that already runs between Mangaluru and Madgaon will now also start in Bengaluru.
It will begin at Yesvantpur railway station.
The train will pass through Hassan, Mangaluru, Udupi and Karwar.
It will finish its journey at Madgaon in Goa.
This means many passengers can travel between Bengaluru and Goa on one train.
They will not need to change trains along the route.
The railway has also changed the train’s timings.
Supporters say the service could make tourism, education, business and work travel easier.
The existing Mangaluru-Madgaon Vande Bharat Express will be extended to Yesvantpur in Bengaluru.
The revised service will run as Train Nos. 26655/26656 Yesvantpur-Mangaluru-Madgaon Vande Bharat Express.
The train will travel through Hassan, Mangaluru, Udupi and Karwar before reaching Madgaon.
Passengers from Bengaluru will be able to reach coastal Karnataka and Goa without changing trains.
The connection is expected to support travel for tourism, business, education and work.
