Land Prices Surge Up to ₹10 Crore an Acre Near Bhogapuram Airport Following Launch · deccanchronicle.com

A big new airport just opened near a place called Bhogapuram in India.

The leader of the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, helped launch it.

After the airport opened, the price of land nearby went way, way up.

Some land now costs as much as 10 crore rupees for one acre, which is a huge amount of money.

Before this, the government bought land from farmers for much less.

Many farmers sold their land because they could not grow many crops on it without water.

Now, buyers and companies want to build shops, offices and big buildings near the airport.

They think more people will come, so the land will become even more valuable.

At a recent auction, some small plots sold for twice what the government expected.

The people who work with land say prices might keep going up when the airport is fully open.
