Minister announces Rs 398 crore student aid under Talliki Vandanam

Every year, India celebrates the day it became an independent country.

This year marks the 80th time the state celebrated Independence Day.

A minister named Dr Nadendla Manohar went to a parade ground in Narasaraopet town to raise the Indian flag.

He said the government gave 398 crore rupees to help more than 2.6 lakh students.

The money is part of a program called Talliki Vandanam, which supports children's education.

The government also handed out about 1.4 lakh study kits to students under another scheme.

The minister said the state bought rice from many farmers and paid them money to support their work.

It also bought chilli from farmers at a special market in Dachepalli.

All these programs are meant to help poor families and students in the state.
