BCI Approves Maharashtra Law Colleges for MHT CET CAP 2026
Getting into law college involves many steps and rules.
The Bar Council of India is the group that checks whether law colleges are following the rules.
Recently, it gave permission to law colleges in Maharashtra to join this year's admission process, which is called MHT CET CAP 2026.
The permission is only for this one time and comes with conditions.
Every college must make sure its university officially approves it.
Colleges also have to pay all the fees they owe and send the required papers.
Students had to finish choosing their college preferences by August 11.
The first list of who gets a seat will be announced on August 17.
Colleges that still need final approval have until August 31 to finish their paperwork.
This extra time was given because many colleges faced delays and technical problems.
The Bar Council of India has granted one-time conditional approval to BCI-recognised law colleges in Maharashtra to participate in MHT CET CAP 2026 admissions.
The approval is subject to the concerned college's university having a valid affiliation.
The Round 1 college-option filling deadline for three-year and five-year LLB courses ends on August 11.
Colleges must submit required documents and pay all applicable BCI fees, including course, inspection, regularisation, late and default fees.
The BCI has extended the affiliation renewal deadline for law colleges and Centres of Legal Education to August 31, 2026.
