Bihar Man Killed by Vehicle in J&K Deputy CM's Convoy

On Saturday night, a 55-year-old man named Bharat Kaper was crossing a road in Gangyal, on the outskirts of the city of Jammu.

A fast-moving car hit him.

That car was part of a group of vehicles that travels with an important leader, Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary.

The group was returning after dropping the leader at his home.

The driver and security officers stopped and rushed Mr. Kaper to Government Medical College Hospital.

Sadly, doctors declared him brought dead.

Mr. Kaper came from Samastipur in the state of Bihar and worked in a nearby shop.

Police reached the spot and registered a First Information Report, or FIR.

An investigation is underway to find out exactly what happened.

Many people are now worried about road safety when important leaders travel in big convoys.
