A woman named Bharati Mukhi died after a car hit her in Hyderabad.

Police say the car was an Aston Martin allegedly driven by Lingamaneni Sanjush.

Sanjush is the son of Andhra Pradesh Rajya Sabha MP Lingamaneni Ramesh.

The crash happened on August 16 near the mall where Mukhi worked.

She had been returning with a colleague after getting food.

Police say the car was moving quickly and being driven negligently.

Mukhi suffered a serious head injury and doctors could not save her.

Police registered a case and gave Sanjush a notice instead of arresting him because the alleged offence is bailable.

Reports give different ages for Sanjush, listing him as either 21 or 23.
