Amaravati Championship Begins in Tirupati, Earns Asian Records Recognition
The Amaravati Championship-2026 is a large sports competition in Andhra Pradesh.

The four-day state-level Amaravati Championship-2026 began Monday at Sri Venkateswara University in Tirupati.
Constituency-level competitions across all 175 Assembly constituencies involved 2,07,498 players, including 1,42,306 boys and 65,192 girls.
District-level contests held from August 6 to 15 attracted around 83,650 participants, with leading performers advancing to the state event.
The Asian Book of Records recognized the championship’s large-scale participation before the state-level competitions began.
Officials said the government was developing sports facilities and academies, while the state event featured Under-17 and Under-23 competitions.
