In the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, people who weave cloth by hand are called weavers.

The government has a plan called Nethanna Sevalo to give weavers money to support their families.

Under this plan, each eligible weaver can receive Rs 25,000.

The people in charge must check every application to see who is eligible.

More than 71,000 weavers have already received the money.

Because some weavers may have been left out, the government asked for new applications and nearly 14,000 weavers applied.

The minister, S Savitha, said all eligible applicants will get their money within one week.

The government also gives older weavers a monthly pension and free electricity to help them.
