Turkey’s pistachio exports reach $80.9 million in first nine months
Turkey earned $80.9 million from pistachio exports in the first nine months of 2026.
That was less than the $151.8 million recorded in the same period last year.
Italy was the largest destination, followed by Germany and Kazakhstan.
Pistachio production naturally tends to alternate between higher and lower years, and 2026 is considered a low-production year.
Poor weather last year also affected this year’s harvest.
New-season pistachios have now started to reach the market.
Industry representatives expect exports to rise in the final three months as this supply becomes available.
